Why a touchless sink matters
The weak link in hand hygiene is contact after washing: a manually operated tap or dispenser re-contaminates the just-washed hand. A touchless sink delivers water and soap by sensor — running when a hand approaches and stopping when it withdraws. This lowers cross-contamination risk and reduces water use.
Product family: pedestal and wall type
Umran touchless sinks come in two mounting types and 1–3 station capacities. Pedestal (LVS-L) models are free-standing units with a cabinet, ideal for hand washing; wall-type (LVS-S) models have a larger basin for washing up to the elbows and forearms, and come with a 3 L-tank soap dispenser.
- LVS-L1 / L2 / L3 — pedestal, with cabinet; 1, 2 or 3 stations. Larger basin; for washing up to the elbows and forearms.
- LVS-S1 / S2 / S3 — wall-mounted; 1, 2 or 3 stations. For hand washing.
- All models with sensor water and a sensor liquid-soap dispenser; activates as the hand approaches.
How many stations do you need?
- Headcount and shift-entry intensity: how many people wash at once sets the number of stations.
- Usage type: pedestal LVS-L for hand washing; wall-type LVS-S with a larger basin where washing up to the elbows and forearms is needed.
- Location: pre-barrier entry, production-area exit, or toilet/changing transitions.
Wherever hand hygiene matters
Touchless sinks are the foundation of hand hygiene in dairy, pharma-cosmetics and food plants, at cleanroom entries and in busy kitchens. Because the basin and sensor connections are built in AISI 304 stainless steel with hygienic welds, they resist staining and corrosion under water and frequent disinfection.

Common questions about touchless sinks
Does a touchless sink save water?
Yes. Water flows only while the hand is within sensor range and stops automatically when withdrawn; loss from a tap left running is eliminated. This reduces both water and energy use.
What water and drainage connection does a touchless sink need?
A touchless tap needs a clean-water inlet and a drain connection under the basin. On pedestal models the plumbing is concealed inside the cabinet; on wall-type models it is routed behind the wall. The exact connection points are confirmed in the project by layout.
How large are the soap and sanitizer tanks?
Wall-type models come with a 3 L-tank soap dispenser; on pedestal models the liquid soap goes into a 5 L canister inside the cabinet, and the dispenser draws the soap from that canister.
